The progenitor of our NASH family tree is Sir knight Alexander NASH (1460–1510). He was born in 1460 and died in 1510 in Digswell, Hertfordshire, England. Alexander was the Knight of the Shire of Hertfordshire. Knight of the shire was the formal title for a member of parliament (MP) representing a county constituency in the British House of Commons, from its origins in the medieval Parliament of England. Alexander was the 14th great-grandfather of Evelyn Virginia BIRD (1922-2012).
