Annie Lucredia Cronk (1888-1956) was the 11th granddaughter of William Linton of Yorkshire, England, of the "Virginia Lintons". She married Charles Edward Linton (1890-1958) the 28th great-grandson of Sir Gualter de Somerville, of the "Scottish Lintons".

Emma Caroline Linton Mendler Smith (1829-1909). The daughter of Dr. Lewis Colbert Linton (1803-1876) & Sarah Kocher (1810-1870). Emma was born MAY 14, 1829 in Delaware Water Gap, Monroe Co., PA.. She died FEB 13, 1909 in Philadelphia, PA. Emma married Adolphus Mendler (1800-1863) in 1845. They had four children: Emma Caroline Mendler (1855-1944); Rosealia Linton Mendler (1857-??); Sarah Linton Mendler (1858-1939); John Mendler (1860-??) Adolphus Mendler was killed, July 3, 1863, during the Battle of Gettysburg. Emma then married John W. Smith on SEP 16, 1864
