Frances Dell BIRD was born on January 8, 1934, in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Frances was born a twin and the 12th child of Jeff Augustus "Gus" Bird (1893-1954) born in Birdville, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas & Clara Myrtle GRAY-SADLER (1900-1988) born in Seaboard, old Princess Anne County, Virginia ( now the City of Virginia Beach). Gus & Clara were married on August 7, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Frances married Jeroll Dean SHIVERS (1929-2008), the son of Claude Lee SHIVERS (1907-2001) & Vera Alno BAILEY (1909-2005) on September 4, 1953 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.

Frances graduated in 1952, from Birdville High School in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
Frances went to work at the general store just up the street from the house where she was born after high school.
Frances married Jeroll Dean SHIVERS (1929-2008), the son of Claude Lee SHIVERS (1907-2001) & Vera Alno BAILEY (1909-2005) on September 4, 1953 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Jeroll was born on March 9, 1929 on the Shivers Ranch in South Lake, Tarrant County, Texas. Jeroll's family was one of the founding settler families to Tarrant County. Jeroll died on August 30, 2008 in South Lake, Tarrant County, Texas, at age 79.
Frances & Jeroll had two children: Rebecca Darlene SHIVERS born October 20, 1956 and Debra Elaine SHIVERS born October 30, 1959.
