Marriage of Evelyn Virginia BIRD & Kirk Louis LINTON

 

Kirk Louis Linton, (1914-1987) the founder of the Linton Research Fund Inc., married Evelyn Virginia BIRD on November 11, 1944, in Washington, Distrist of Columbia.Their wedding was witnessed by Edna Crowell (secretary to General in her office), Captain Donald Frye, Bernadette "Bernie" Thelma Linton Butler (1922-2014) ( Kirk's sister) and Randoulph "Randy" Irvin Butler (1918-2007).

Evelyn was the 4th child of sixteen born to Jeff Augustus Bird (1893-1954) and Clara Myrtle Gray (1900-1988). Evelyn was born on May 17, 1922, in her father’s house, located at the corner of BIRD and GRACE Streets, Birdville, Fort Worth, Texas. Kirk was 3rd the child of Charles Edward Linton (1890-1958) and Annie Lucretia Cronk (1888-1956).

On August 17, 1945, at 23 years of age, Evelyn and 31 year old Kirk became the parents of Kenneth Edward Linton born in Alexandria, Virginia.

On November 8, 1949. at 27 years of age, Evelyn and 35 year old Kirk became the parents of Terry Louis Linton born in Alexandria, Virginia.
