John Peter KOCHER (1742-1819) & Maria MESSINGER (1743-1813) were the 3rd great-grandparents of  Charles Edward LINTON (1890-1958) and the 4th great-grandparents of Kirk Louis LINTON (1914-1987)

John Peter KOCHER Sr., (1742-1819) (1) was the son of Peter KOCHER (1700–1772) the emigrant (2) & Elizabeth Eva “Eveles” KOPPENHOPPER (1709–1773). (3) John Peter was born on March 29, 1742, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. (4) In 1800,  He had a residence in Forks, Northampton, County, Pennsylvania. (6) In 1810 he lived in Lowhill, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

On July 4, 1766, John Peter married Maria MESSINGER (1743-1800), (7) the daughter of Michael F. MESSINGER  (1719–1791)  the emigrate (8) & Anna Katharina Catherine ABEL (1723–1785)  (9) in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Maria was born on March 14, 1743, in Forks, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. (10) In 1800, Maria lived in Forks, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. (6) Maria died on May 18, 1813, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania., (11) at age 70.

John Peter died on April 19, 1819, in Upper Mount Bethel, Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania  Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, (5) at age 77, and was buried on April 22, 1819,  in the First Reformed Lutheran Church, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

 

John Peter & Maria had known children:

 

i.John Peter KOCHER (12) was born on June 4, 1767, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. and died in Lowhill Twp, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. John married Susanna Christina SCHNEIDER (13) the daughter of Johannes John SCHNEIDER emigrant (14) and Elizabeth Catherine MILLER emigrant, (15) on September 8, 1789 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. (12) Susanna was born on March 19, 1769 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. and died in 1791 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. at age 22.

ii.  Johanna KOCHER (17) was born on June 15, 1768, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

iii. Rosina KOCHER was born on March 3, 1770, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

iv.  Abraham KOCHER was born on March 15, 1772, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. and died on November 23, 1817, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. at age 45. Abraham married Susanna EDELMAN, daughter of John Conrad EDELMAN and Anna Catharine YEAGER, on July 7, 1801, in Easton, Northampton  County, Pennsylvania. Susanna was born on October 14, 1776 in Nazareth, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. and died on November 15, 1855, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. at age 79.

v.  Daniel KOCHER was born on July 1, 1774, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

vi  Conrad KOCHER was born on May 5, 1777, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. and died on February 28, 1835, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, at age 57. Conrad married Elisabeth SEITZ on April 22, 1803 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Elisabeth was born on August 29, 1786 and died on September 20, 1835 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, at age 49.

vii. Susanna KOCHER was born June 16, 1779,  in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania and died on January 10, 1844, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. She married Henrich “Henry’ YEAGER (1762–1841)

viii. Jonas KOCHER was born on July 9, 1784, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania and died on March 30, 1839, in Marshall, Calhoun County, Michigan, at age 54. Jonas married Maria Catherine EDELMANN, the daughter of John Conrad EDELMAN and Anna Catharine YEAGER, about 1810 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Maria was born on October 21, 1787 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania and died on January 12, 1845 in Marshall, Calhoun County, Michigan, at age 57.

x.  Anna Maria KOCHER was born on March 27, 1790, in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania and died on February 9, 1872, at age 81.
