John LINTON (1706-1761) & Elizabeth HAYHURST (1709-1795) were married on November 20, 1731, in Wrightstown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. John was the son of the Quaker emigrants master carpenter John LINTON Sr., (1662–1709) & Rebekah RELFE (1670–1714). John Jr., died on his father’s farm on November 5, 1709 in Neshaminy, Buckingham Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Elizabeth was the daughter of William RELFE Jr., (1640–1680) & Mabel WILKINSON (1656–1716). William owned a bakery in London, England. Elizabeth was born on March 31, 1670 in Wigton, Tiffinthwaite, Holmes, Longnewton, County Cumberland, England. She died on February 15, 1714 in Neshaminy, Buckingham Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Elizabeth & John had seven known children: Jacob LINTON (1732–1775); Rebekah LINTON (1734–1810); David LINTON (1736–1739); master millwright Isaiah LINTON (1739–1775); William LINTON (1742–1802) Esquire; Martha LINTON (1744–1744); Elizabeth LINTON (1751–1833).
John & Elizabeth were the 4th great-grandparents of Kirk Louis LINTON (1914-1987).
